Identifies with the larger Messianic and Jewish communities.

Messianic Jews, Jewish believers in Yeshua, stand in two worlds, affirming their ongoing participation in the life of Israel and their relationship with the larger body of the Messiah. As a religious community of the 21st century, Congregation Avodat Yisrael seeks to live out its life in conscious rejection of the division which has characterized interfaith relations and to work for healthy relationships.

To help foster this climate of reconciliation, Avodat Yisrael understands its presence in the midst of the Jewish community as one of ambassadorship and service. As a congregation of ambassadors, the congregation focuses on nurturing relationships, waiting together for the coming Messiah, and walking together on our spiritual journey. Avodat Yisrael also emphasizes common community, dialogue, and a conversation in which we are all transformed by God. We seek to listen and discern where God is already present and active among our people. Service in the larger Jewish community is another expression of our active participation among our people.
